Chapter 2: Raid

"Sticking to a group you either have to be a good guy or an evil asshole… I'd rather do it alone, groups are useless…" She thought, as she started to scratch her head. "Gotta figure some way to get rooster off my back… what would scare an idiot…?" Lavinia immediately snapped her fingers. "A gun! Scare the crap outta them and put them to sleep!... heh, if GG soldiers are that easy to fool, what's a base make a difference?"

Full of confidence, Lavvy decided to make some preparations: a hook, easely made of remains found on the streets and a steel pole, useful to KO some witnesses. Having everything set, she just strapped the two items to her back.
The base of the GG that she was going to raid was placed at a higher level, lower then the High Cities, but still close. It was a pretty big base actually, guarded and not easy to enter on your own as alarms would immediately be set off. But easy to enter on a supplies vehicle.
Hidden behind some debris, she slowly managed to sneak near one of these trucks. With the help of the hook, she managed to sneak underneath it, clinging down to the frame. It wasn't easy, but at least the truck was fairly up from the ground. It passed the checkup, after Lavvy was literally sweating buckets for them not to use their brains and check underneath. The truck travelled a bit more until it entered a warehouse. The personal unloaded the truck relatively quick and then simply left, as the drivers went to get something to eat.
Lavinia slowly got down looking around cautious. "I must be nuts, but I am liking this…" She grinned, getting out of the warehouse, into the base. Surprisingly, there weren't many cameras, and in places where they were they were easy to avoid with some movement. "Come on, come on… where's the weapons room?" Lavvy grumbled, sliding along the wall. She didn't realize behind her was a room. Eventually, she turned, on the room, widely written weapons room. "…oh right…." Unfortunately, on the door there was a card lock." …man are these things crappy!" She just slammed the pipe into the lock, breaking it, in the process opening the door and not triggering an alarm. The wireless alarm system broke off along the lock. "Weak."
As the door opened, it was pretty obvious the room was huge. And full of Cobras, the gun and Saber Gauntlets. Lavvy had to pause a bit to jawdrop at the sheer number. "Hohoho! Sahweeeet!" Wasting no time, she quickly grabbed a random Cobra off the shelf, checking it out, first finding the switches between tranquilize, gun and force. "….hmm, don't wanna kill anybody… yet…"She switched it to tranquilize.
"HEY! What're you doing here!?"  The broken door was unconsciously left open, as such, even without an alarm a random soldier just managed to find it.
"Ah shit…" Lavvy startled, accidentally pressing the trigger, hitting the soldier in the stomach. After just a few second, the man immediately fell asleep. Lavinia paused, surprised at the efficiency of the stun. "Now I feel lucky I always manage to dodge these things…"
"WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!" Another soldier quickly peeked in, Lavvy managing to shoot him as well, this time intentionally. The tomboy shook her head, grinning. "Well, I could get used to this… Better go before a pile of bodies starts forming…"
This time Lavinia wasted no time running, taking a different route. This route didn't actually have any cameras. Unfortunately, it was because it didn't need any, considering most people wouldn't venture that far in that direction… as it leads to the labs. A place where only scientists work, and is usually not so health safe.

"Where's the fucking door?!" Lavvy raged finally, quickly covering her mouth hoping nobody heard. She went from sliding door to sliding door, but it seemed it went on forever. Eventually she stopped... not because she tired out, but because there was something strange about this chamber: nothing in it, besides a giant container. There were some utensils for studying, but nothing more interesting then the container… or, so to say, what was in it.
Lavinia blinked, curious, approaching the container. Inside it, something floated, something that reminded her of a wolf, an animal that she only read about and saw in the books the warehouse had. But it was a lot smaller and it had tentacles, as well as a weird muzzle." What the hell…?" She moved in closer to it trying to take a look.
"ACK!" At that the creature reacted, snapping it's pure blue, soulless eyes open, opening it's jaws and tapping it's head on the container, as of to attack, to get the girl. Lavvy stumbled a bit back, huffing, startled… yet, she realized the container was too thick for it to escape. "Mother fu…hehehe…" She grinned, calming down. "What, now you want a piece of me? Well, guess what, ugly? You can't get to me!" She taunted the creature. It didn't really seem to understand the words, but it understood that it was being mocked, and he didn't like that. "What, you want to bite me? You're lucky I'm really a girl, or else I would have told you something to…"
*AWEEEEEE AWEEEEEEE AWEEEEEEE!* The alarm startled. Lavinia got startled once again, as a red light flashed. "WARNING! ONE OF THE COBRAS MK 9001 WAS TAKEN OUT OF THE WAREHOUSE! IT IS CURENTLY IN THE LAB! PLEASE REPORT THEER AND ARREST THE INTRUDER!"
"Ah fuck! I forgot about that damn chip!" The tomboy started panicking, in the confusion, as she started to run she knocked over the container, as it broke apart on the ground. Unfortunately, she didn't notice to focused on escape, while the creature was quickly waking up, and squirming into a grate, leading down to the sewers.
Rushing down the hall, it didn't last long, until Lavinia sticked out like a sore thumb. Curently a bunch of soldiers flocking, luckly only dodging shots because of the zig zag pattern of the tunnels. "ShitshitshitSHIT!" She thought to herself, occasionally using the tranquilizer… but mostly missing. "DAMN MY AIM IS CRAP!" The tunnels eventually ended in front of a large gate. Finally, an exit was afoot. Lavvy was now more relieved, as she slammed it open, running for freedom… unfortunately there was another gate in the part she exited and it had a huge wall. "….I am so fucked… I don't have time to use the hook and climb this!" She paused a bit, looking at the gun. "…I am screwed anyways, so…." She aimed it at the ground, switched to force and, closing her eyes, clicked on the trigger. The gun shoot the force blast so hard it did manage to propel her up, hitting her a bit as of a few punches, but at least it got over the wall. Lavvy then threw the gun back, reached for the hook and grabbed it on the edge of the wall, as she quickly slid down the wall, the rope helping her safely down, without hitting the pavement for sure death. She continued to waste no time and just get the hell out of there, no tracks.

The soldiers on the other side were pretty much dumbfounded. All those stunts. Luckily, there weren't any pro soldiers in there, so the escape was possible. The soldiers however sighed in relief just from getting the gun back, unharmed.
"Did you get him?" A red head man walked from behind, dressed in white clothes, that can only be described as a lab coat. The soldiers were a bit nervous to admit, but eventually one spoke holding the gun." No sir, but we managed to get the weapon back."
The mans expression turned to rage, as he grabbed one of the tubes that connected the soldiers battery to the visor, pulling him closer. "Do you even realize what that fool did, because of you incompetent bastards?! The parasite is GONE! The wolf hybrid is gone! We're going to have to face another stinking beast!" He shoved the soldier back, reverting to a more serious face and tone. "And if you AREN'T indeed a bunch of incompetents, and that thief managed to escape on skill alone… then I fear what infected that one will make… Find him! Either the parasite or the wolf infected, if you get that unlucky! I don't want beasts like that making a ruckus."
"Yes, Archimedes, sir!" The soldier bowed, along with the others, as they quickly dispatched, ordering and organizing. That scientist, believe it or not, was Sebastien Archimedes, one of the GG heads, chief of science.
