Chapter 1: Beginings
The future. All nations united into one due to globalization. Now, under the leadership of the Global Government, great technology leaps have been made. However so has pollution invaded the world.
But for now, that is not important. We now introduce the High Cities. These cities are at the peak of evolution. No human is hungry or poor here, and the technology is top notch. It's clean and peaceful
"Hey, get back here you crook!"
well, most of the time. The police of the city, the Global Government soldiers or GG soldiers for short were having trouble today. Two of them were chasing after a hooded figure, carrying a big bag, as it ran past, seemingly easy. "Stop running, you won't get away!" The soldiers started shooting. The rays weren't deadly, they were just tranquilizers. However the figure had relatively no problem dodging. It picked up a garbage cap using it to block a close shot.
"What a pair of retards!" The figure commented, grinning back, as they reached a series of fences. She started hopping over those fences, using nearby garbage cans for a boost. "Are you insane?! That's where the High City ends! There's a pit underneath!" One of the soldiers warned as they both stopped. However, the figure did not, it knew there was a pit, however didn't care. It jumped down into the void. The soldiers quickly followed just to see what happened. They didn't notice a shaking steel line right over their head. It was thin enough to not be seen in the dark, but strong enough for someone to slid down.
Eventually the line ended as the figure landed safe into the Lower Grounds, the slums, if you will. Here the poor and the sick were common and the buildings relatively old compared. The figure looked around to be sure nobody followed as it took the hood off. Believe it or not, it was a she, though not really obvious due to the clothes and a not so-feminine shape. She had black spiky hair and angry looking brown eyes. "And those are supposed to be cops
Guess I shouldn't complain!" She grinned, as she took down the bag.
Everything was stolen, pretty much out of need from a lack of money. "Let's see
"She put them on, then immediately threw them."Bleah, classical?! That sucks!" She continued searching, finding very few useful items there, most useful ones were some snacks, some actual money and some new shoes.
A loud male voice was heard, making the girl stop looking through the sack. She turned around, seeing a gang of boys of around the same age as her. The one in the front,a young man with spiky red hair, the one who shouted, was the boss. "You're on my turf again
Not a smart idea after that cheap shot you gave me last time! I am pissed!"
The female just starred at the group bored, not showing a tad bit of intimidation. "I don't think the cheap shot accusation works anymore, rooster brain, especially when I seem to get a cheap shot WEEKLY
You know, there is a thin line between being resilient and being damn stupid
luckly you guys come nowherere near that line. You're just stupid"
"MY NAME IS CORVIN!" The spike hair shouted out, stomping.
"And my real name is Lavinia, or Lavvy, since your small mind can't pronounce words so long, your point?" The female commented again, still bored.
Corvin twitched, seeing no respect from her. "Listen here I am tired of you just crossing around here, beating up me and my boys when you should share your hunt with us!"
"Why? Is it my fault you are a bunch of incompetent dicks who can't steal shit from a sewer?" Lavinia commented, now so bored she yawned.
This time the whole group started twitching. The red head just started getting more pissed. "You're a fucking GIRL! YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE WEAK AND LISTEN TO US!"
"And you're not SUPPOSED to loose to girls
especially when bringing your mangy pack
." The girl commented again. She was getting pissed as well, already froming a fist. Until she saw something interesting in Corvin's hand. "
hey, is that a fast food bag from the high city?"
Corvin paused a bit, then grinned, with a triumph air, as she showed the bag, which seemed to be full, by the powerful food smell. "Yup! Betcha now you regret that earlier statement, dontcha? Now whaddya say you give me your hunt and maybe we'll share
or maybe we'll kick you ass!" Lavinia didn't respond, she just gave a relatively disturbing grin.
A few minutes later.
Groans of pain were abound, as Lavvy was sitting at top of a pile mad out of the gang's boys. With Corvin at the bottom. "Hey, thanks for the meal! You know, you find some really crappy tasting foods up there usually. These kinds are still the best!" Corvin whined, pride hurt deeply
as well as body."
"Me? I just retaliate, you're the ones looking for an ass kicking
" The tomboy commented taking a sip of the coffe
then immediately spitting it out. "Ewww, black raw coffee?! Where's the milk and sugar?" She started pouring the coffee on Corvin's head. "ARGH! HOT!"
"How many times do I have to tell you, you get coffee, make sure it has lotsa milk and sugar!" Lavinia threw the cup on Corvin's head, as she got down. "Meh whatever
Do me a favor and NEVER get near me again, I am so tired of beating the SAME weak assholes!"
Leaving the gang aside, she still picked up the bag now full only of the items she did not want or need. A few blocks down she let the bag full of goodies in front of a big warehouse, surprisingly kept in good shape and knocked, leaving the bag and just going on, without saluting.
A few moments later a women opened the door, noticed the sack and just looked around, hoping to see someone. She was a bit disappointed, but she smiled taking the bag. Inside the warehouse there actually lived quite a few people, not related by blood, but sticking together to have a nice, decent living.
"Greedy lazy bunch of idiots don't deserve stuff like that
" Lavvy grumbled, just walking away."At least those who are nice deserve something
" That house was kind enough to take an amnesiac 10 year old girl and raise her until she could take care of herself. However, the tomboy and fight hungry personality was obvious even before.
