Octobertale challenge: Day 16

Description

And I made an entire flipping strip just for one scene... yeah besides ending boss battles, this is the only one I'll do it for.
Because I fuckin love this scene. Unbenownst to you I actually like cooking... and by cooking, I like watching cooking. Like things with Gordon Ramsay mainly. But I don't like to cook myself... however I DO like to do destructive cooking like Regular ordinary sweedish meal time.
And another reasons i stat, since I replaced the main with myself. I like to think THIS SCENE ALONE allowed for me to relieve some stress from just running away and having to deal with so much monster bullshit. Because let's face it. I am NORMALLY violent, it's a wonder how I can play this game in any way besides genocide. But Undyne is fuckin worth it.
...and yeah I wanted to fist bump Undyne... because that was metal!

WARNING!  During this art challenge I will spoil MANY THINGS during the game. Both in art and text! If you want to play Undertale I recommend you do it FIRST and then look at these pictures. Thank you!

* Before I begin this critique, I noticed the artist had multiple pieces that wanted critiquing; however, I don't wish to be a bother if my opinion is undesired. Should Hrona want more critiques, I'd be more than happy to look at the others more.
That being said;

Praise:
Emotion; those that have gone through Undertale's Pacifist mode will remember this part, and the emotion behind it; we laughed, roared with determination, and 'put our all into it' to put it lightly. This picture captures that moment very well. The transitions; the artist's use of the environment to separate each panel is pretty creative. Undyne's design and her emotions; her design is actually fairly good; she, in fact, looks like someone who would randomly suplex a boulder and look fabulous doing it; and her emotions are varied, none are the same and each are mostly appropriate for the setting, and the spark of determination emphasizes this! The hands; while I will confess that the design may need a little more work, I find a lot of people who draw hands in a strange way; and while the hands still need work, they're great cartoon hands.

Nitpick:
The Tomato paste; its the first thing to stand out, tomatoes usually have a red color when smooshed, and it just looks a little too brown. The muscle and veins; this kinda stood out too, the muscle anatomy is decent, but it needs a little work; its good on the last panel, but at one point where Undyne raises her arms; and it looks like her arm completely flips around with the shoulder replacing the armpit, and I know that sounds harsh; and I'm sorry, I'm just trying to be thorough. The veins on the human's arm and in the corner of their head also seem a bit too thick and heavy with lining.

Minor Nitpick:
The Human Design; the anatomy of the human is alright for a cartoon, but I feel the artist can do a lot better, I can see that they might be trying to get an anime/cartoon style, but some things seem a bit off; the body can seem a bit stiff at times, and the face may be a bit too big for the head. The background of the last panel; its.... flat; Undyne kinda lives in a domed home, and while the curve at the top adds some shape, the line from where the house meets the ground is a bit too straight. At the moment, nothing else comes to mind, but I think I've gone on long enough.

This piece is pretty dang good, but I gotta give it; a Pacifist Playthrough/10

Those that have played Undertale more than once remember their first run most likely. We remember the not so far off nostalgia, the feels that came with it, and the good times we had; this picture does a fairly good job capturing that.
That said; I took a peek at the artist's past work, and they have made some noticeable changes since their first picture. I think, in time, with a little more experience and a little more practice; they'll make some pretty great stuff.
