Again, busy Lavvy si busy... Anyywaaaaaaays! This part is pretty self explanatory..

They reach the crystal palace and on the door they actually get greeted bya Cupimon... Lavvy, being more of a jerk herem doesn't find it all that intimating... Then of course she sees the real leader... what a damn contrast...

Also, before you go "HA HA!" at Lavvy being a so caled wuss, and fainting while seeing the leaders... Think about it guys... THIS IS THE REALISTIC APPROACH! This is a world where digimon were never known, neither in anime nor games and where Lavvy never took any break from her anger by... per say watching it. So humans have NEVER seen digimon.
Plus Lavvy had only met rookies and lower digimon up to now, making her think that's about how big they get.. wrooooong.
AND FINALLY, in the other digimon series, the best threat the tamers get i the beggining is a champion. Whilst champions can be damn huge.. admit it, most of em either don't look taht intimidating or just seem like stupid animals... when ya meet a damn MEGA after seeing just rookies... Wel, it's like ya meet a damn GOD after walking amon mortals... so of course you get soft legs!
SO HA! THERE!...besides in some cases, a realistic approach is funnier.

Actually, I think Lavvy's reaction is what makes her a likeable character. Too many stories are filled with arrogant characters who are never put in their place because the writer is attempting to make up for their own low self-esteem. However, I've always enjoyed your depiction of Lavvy because while she might sometimes be rude, arrogant, etc., she often gets knocked down a couple of pegs as well, making her a very three-dimensional character and easy to empathize with. This speaks well of you as a writer and as a individual.
